Crypto Kingdom – Akon’s Oasis

Singer/rapper Akon announced on his social media outlets that he has plans, and the blessing of the Senegalese government to develop (Akon City), in Senegal.

This real estate project will be developed on 2000 acres of land donated by Senegal’s president – Macky Sall. Akon, who is of Senegalese descent, hinted at his dream of a crypto city back in 2018.

It is slated to be established on the outskirts of Dakar and within 5 minutes of the international airport. It hopes to be a hub for ecotourism in Africa and a benchmark for future real estate projects.

Looking To The Future

Akon is making lots of waves in Africa. He launched an energy/utility company called Akon Energy in 2014 with plans to provide electricity (via Solar) across Africa. This ambitious project is underway, and has roots in 14 African countries and has brought solar electricity to 1,000,000 people.

Akon also has his own cryptocurrency dubbed (Akoin), which is a digital currency similar to Bitcoin and based on blockchain technology.

Crypto City

Akon’s planned city will trade exclusively in Akoin and will be a futuristic and sustainable ecosystem powered exclusively by solar energy also provided by Akon Energy.

Akon hopes to have much of the city built within 10 years, so there is a specific and targeted timeline to have this kicked off, planned, developed and completed within a realistic time frame.

A new inspired and advanced city birthed in the motherland.

Is this the manifestation of Wakanda?

We can’t wait to visit.
